The organization does not accept walk-ins. Potential clients and former clients with new cases should contact Just Neighbors at 703-979-1240. Just Neighbors will conduct a phone intake and pass this information along to the staff attorneys, who will decide whether Just Neighbors can take the case or whether it needs to be referred out.  All Just Neighbors clients earn less than 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Intakes for new clients and cases are conducted at Just Neighbors' offices and community clinics in Falls Church and Herndon. A fee of $50 is charged for initial consultations, and there is no additional fee to Just Neighbors regardless of the complexity of the case.  Potential clients should bring the following documents to their consultations, if applicable:

  • Federal income tax return for the most recent tax year;
  • Passport and I-94 card;
  • Documents to show current immigration status (including work permit or green card);
  • Court records for victims of crimes and domestic violence; and
  • Copies of all documents filed with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS) and correspondence received from the immigration agency.
